While the world of this story is dark, the feeling players are left with is one of joy, and its well-paced runtime leaves room for both a sequel and replay value. Ultimately, the most disappointing part of Greak: Memories of Azur is that it ended at all, and it's a must-play for anyone who finds the genre intriguing.

Greak: Memories of Azur provided me the opportunity to experience a beautiful hand-drawn world in a way that best suits my gaming time and style. As I get older and find myself more and more selective with my gaming, intimate experiences like Greak are so much more rewarding than the biennial installment of a huge triple A title. Perhaps you’re noticing the same habit forming with your gaming. If so, this hidden gem might be exactly what you’ve been looking for, too.

Y es que Greak: Memories of Azur es de esos juegos que te atrapa tanto a nivel mecánico como artístico. Un juego que transmite esa sensación de estar delante de una joya desde el primer segundo que aparece ante nuestros ojos. Y es que es una obra que poco se le puede achacar solo alabar las virtudes que lo hacen uno de los mejores juegos de su género que he disfrutado últimamente. Así que es un juego obligatorio de disfrutar, que agradará a cualquier tipo de jugador, y que, si las ventas lo respetan, espero que puedan seguir profundizando en un universo que puede dar mucho de sí.

Greak: Memories of Azur is a heartfelt, thrilling adventure. With three leading characters, the game has managed to carve its own identity within a crowded genre. The jaw-dropping visuals and intricate soundtrack ooze atmosphere, enticing you to explore every inch of the world. Although controlling several characters at once can be troublesome, it takes nothing away from this fascinating, methodically paced, puzzle-platforming quest about family, home and hope.

Greak: Memories of Azur es un título que demuestra el gran avance que está teniendo el desarrollo de videojuegos en México. Es un juego bien animado, con mecánicas bien implementadas, combate satisfactorio y lleno de detalles que demuestran el cariño con el que fue realizado. El manejo de 3 personajes principales y la resolución de acertijos ponen el toque más original del juego, mientras que además toma influencias de juegos icónicos como Hollow Knight y Ori para hacerlo un mejor título. No te lo recomiendo por ser un juego desarrollado en el país y para apoyar a la industria, te lo recomiendo porque es un buen juego.

Greak: Memories of Azur è un'avventura deliziosa, la quale attinge a piene mani da tanti stili di gioco e generi differenti. C'è un po' di metroidvania, molto platform, quasi sempre azione, e non mancano enigmi ambientali, dai più semplici e intuitivi ad altri discretamente complessi. L'elemento originale della produzione consiste nell'utilizzo di una squadra di tre personaggi principali, ognuno dotato di poteri specifici: il giocatore deve tenere conto di tutti e tre nello stesso momento per poter avanzare nei dungeon e sconfiggere il boss di turno. A tutto ciò si unisce una direzione artistica deliziosa, tempi di caricamento inesistenti su PlayStation 5, e un utilizzo non perfetto ma funzionale del DualSense. Greak: Memories of Azur è quel gioco al quale il vostro cuore, entusiasta, vorrebbe subito assegnare un 9; ma è la mente che deve insindacabilmente intuirne e rilevarne anche i difetti. I quali, comunque, non gli impediscono di portare a casa un otto pieno, e anche qualcosa in più.

Le splendide animazioni di Greak: Memories of Azur non hanno mai tentennato sulla console new-gen di Sony e in ogni situazione il frame rate non ha mai conosciuto attimi di crisi… ma ci saremmo stupiti del contrario.

No todos los días un juego logra dejar su impronta jugable en un servidor y Greak: Memories of Azur lo ha logrado de todas todas. Una mágica propuesta que combina puzles, plataformas y acción; un juego cuyo apartado artístico, tanto sonoro como gráfico, se sitúa, desde ya, en el TOP de 2021.

Short, but unique and satisfying despite some frustrating elements, Greak: Memories of Azur is a winning action puzzle-platformer with some of the best 2D visuals you can find.

L'esperienza ci ha soddisfatti e intrattenuto senza venire mai a noia, anche se si poteva fare qualcosa di più, ad esempio inserendo una mappa per le singole aree completa di stanze e radar, e implementare una modalità co-op opzionale. Manca completamente un doppiaggio audio ma almeno i testi sono in italiano. Nonostante queste piccole mancanze, il gioco risulta estremamente godibile e ne consigliamo l'acquisto senza pensarci troppo.

Greak: Memories of Azur is a truly charming little title that fans of puzzle and action games will really enjoy. Its unique mechanics of controlling the three siblings at once paid off for the most part, even if it became more frustrating during boss fights. While the game’s restrictive inventory and lack of area maps wasn’t ideal, it didn’t prevent the gorgeous hand-drawn world and enchanting soundtrack from drawing me right into the experience. Greak: Memories of Azur is fun, very easy to like, and definitely worth checking out.

Una delle più belle sorprese di questo 2021: Greak: Memories of Azur è davvero un titolo che farà la felicità di tutti gli amanti dei "Metroidvania" o meglio ancora dei "MetroidVaTrine". La realizzazione artistica è strabiliante, mentre il gameplay riprende il meglio degli action platform e lo moltiplica per tre. L'idea del terzetto di eroi piace e non poco: peccato per qualche problemuccio nella gestione dei loro movimenti e qualche sbavatura nella calibrazione della difficoltà. Nel complesso, Greak: Memories of Azur rimane un'esperienza videoludica da provare.

En resumen, Greak, Memories of Azur es un videojuego que hará las delicias de los aficionados a los metroidvania. Y si además sois como yo, que os entran los juegos por los ojos, entonces no dudéis en dejaros arrastrar por estos pequeños hermanos Courines al bosque de Azur, donde pasaréis unas horas encantadoras ayudándolos a reunirse y a salvar a su especie.

All in all, Greak: Memories of Azur is a beautiful, pleasant platforming experience. With some additions to ease the complexity of controlling the siblings simultaneously, and a co-op mode would result in a great game – but even with its current kinks the game is quite worth the investment and will be enjoyed by adults and kids!

Estamos ante un título divertido y ameno que propone ideas interesantes. Pese a que le falta algo de profundidad en algunas de sus diversas propuestas jugables, Greak: memories of Azur logra atrapar al jugador, sobre todo con el inteligente desarrollo de niveles y el reto de resolver sus múltiples puzzles combinando las habilidades de nuestros personajes. Una apuesta en escena bellísima será suficiente para convencernos a explorar el misterioso reino de Azur.

A beautiful adventure, featuring clever ideas and mechanics, but also notable shortcomings.

Greak: Memories of Azur è un curato e simpatico metroidvania, che pare una versione miniaturizzata di un connubio di elementi da classici recenti del genere come i due capitoli di Ori e Hollow Knight. La poca originalità e la gestione problematica dei personaggi multipli sono parzialmente compensati dall'eccellente lato audiovisivo del titolo, rendendo così l'esperienza abbastanza piacevole per i fan del genere, nonostante qualche frustrazione di troppo qua e là.

Referente a la historia, decir que por mi parte, me he quedado con ganas de una secuela, aunque no puedo decir más para evitar Spoilers. El universo es interesante, el estilo artístico brillante, y si se corrigen los pequeños problemillas de esta entrega una secuela puede dar mucho de sí.

Greak Memories of Azur è un metroidvania discreto, graziato da una direzione artistica ispirata che vi farà rimanere più volte a bocca aperta. Sul fronte del gameplay si differenzia da altri titoli del genere grazie alla peculiare gestione dei personaggi, che però ci ha convinti soltanto a metà. Un peccato anche l'assenza di una modalità co-op, per cui il gioco si sarebbe decisamente prestato. Al netto di queste mancanze, però, ci sentiamo di consigliare Greak Memories of Azur a tutti gli appassionati di platform-action in cerca di una nuova avventura che gli tenga compagnia in questa afosa estate.

Greak: Memories of Azur is one of the most beautiful games out there with its captivating visuals and immersive audio. However, its gameplay is riddled with issues such as vague progression clues and clunky combat which make the experience frequently frustrating.

Greak: Memories of Azur is a solid platformer by Navegante Entertainment, delivering a well realised world with interesting characters, gorgeous hand-crafted visuals, and intriguing environments that beg to be explored. The combat can be a bit hit and miss at times, and the distinct lack of co-op play — despite the ability to switch characters at will — feels like a missed opportunity. As a story-driven adventure title, though, this one is absolutely worth a punt.

Simply one of the most enchanting art-styles you'll experience on an indie game. The hand-drawn characters and backgrounds are magical in motion, and contribute to a potently heart-warming playthrough. Whereas the game's simultaneous character control, puzzles, and individual character skills can be highly enjoyable at the right moments, those moments sadly don't come enough to completely satisfy. Nevertheless, Greak: Azur is worth a go for the aesthetic charm alone, and has some great puzzles for fans of that inclination.

Greak: Memories of Azure has a gorgeous presentation and world to discover, but the added features, although unique, require a specific type of adventure fan to enjoy. Things just become overly confusing, and my muscle memory never seemed to adapt to the constant demand for accessing the menu and switching between characters. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great game, but some elements are largely unnecessary.

While Greak: Memories of Azur can be occasionally frustrating, the design and world-building are effective enough to make it worthwhile and enjoyable for players of all skill-sets.

Pour sa première apparition dans l’univers vidéoludique, l’équipe de Navegante nous signe un bon premier titre. Si le jeu possède quelques lacunes, sans doute dû à la jeune expérience du studio, ou d’une durée de vie un peu courte (on aurait vraiment aimé parcourir Azur plus longuement), il possède aussi de nombreuses qualités. A commencer par cette fratrie touchante qui s’épaule en faisant face à l’adversité, ses superbes visuels dessinés à la main, sa très belle bande-son, son Level Design ingénieux avec ses puzzles bien conçus, et son concept de gameplay « triple incarnation ». C’est simple, malgré ses petits défauts qui seront plus ou moins pénalisants selon votre style de jeu, on se laisse facilement emporter et envoûter par ce conte. 

Navegante is clearly a talented studio, and have it in them to come up with something really special, but Greak Memories of Azur sadly falls short.

With a fairly short running time, at least Greak: Memories of Azur doesn’t require much commitment to see it through. I just can’t help but feel that if your companions were computer-controlled and actually assisted you in combat, or at least tried to keep out of the way of your enemies rather than simply standing motionless, my review would be much more glowing. As it is, for every few minutes of joy I had with Greak: Memories of Azur, I generally had another filled with some level of frustration. Ultimately that lead to a great deal of disappointment, which is a real shame.

Greak: Memories of Azur has a lot going for it. I just wish that its core concept of controlling three characters at the same time worked better. Too often, instead of being helpful, your siblings just end up getting in the way. If you can look past these sections, though, you’ll find a beautiful game with some great puzzles and a lot of heart.

At first glance, it’s completely understandable to be entranced by the gorgeous environments and backgrounds of Greak: Memories of Azur. Don’t be lured unaware by its siren call! While there is a decent experience underneath, some inexplicable design decisions, the uninspired sidequests and serviceable story don’t buoy the adventure enough to make up for how badly implemented the game’s primary mechanic is. If you came away from the eShop demo impressed or you’re able to overlook a very obvious fatal flaw, you might be able to derive some pleasure out of Greak’s mission. Don’t expect to find me spending much time reminiscing about these memories.

It looks lovely and plays well enough, But Greak: Memories of Azur is hamstrung by awkward puzzles, maddening boss battles, and annoying backtracking that'll have you rolling your eyes out of their sockets.

As for the game’s bosses, they’re most efficiently fought one on one, keeping the other characters out of harm’s way. It’s telling, then, that the game’s final area, the labyrinthine Aldalar Tomb, pointedly separates the three heroes. All that build-up to unite the family, and in the end, Greak: Memories of Azur finds it best to keep them apart.
