Ponpu is a great twist on a classic formula with just the right amount of oddness thrown into the mix. At least Purple Tree didn’t call Ponpu ‘Bomber Duck’ instead, as there’s far more to it than just the basic Bomberman formula. The bosses are well implemented and you’ll be satisfied with the iterative process necessary to beat them.

En conclusión Ponpu nos ofrece una propuesta gamberra, desenfadada y ante todo divertida. Un videojuego que rememora a grandes clásicos de los videojuegos y sabe aportar un toque de identidad muy especial que lo hace convertirse en una de las mayores sorpresas de estos compases de finales de 2020 para nuestra PS4.

Ponpu is weird, wacky and regularly wonderful. It’s a slick take on Bomberman that understands what made the original games so great and evolves it for the modern day. It’s a shame that the multiplayer modes are undermined by ineffective identifying marks that make it difficult to see who’s who. Thankfully a decent sized and suitably challenging single player campaign makes up for that.

Ponpu consegue divertir um pouco, mas o modo história além de ser vazio e repetitivo, também trava constantemente. O multiplayer que deveria ser seu forte não entrega nada demais e perde na falta de personalizações de partidas, tirando todo e qualquer fator replay que pudesse existir.
