Yuki tiene todas las papeletas para convertirse en uno de esos juegos clásicos de realidad virtual que acaban en todos los cascos por recomendación popular. Una jugabilidad sólida, un apartado artístico cuidado, una música que te pondrá los pelos como escarpias, y personalidad, muchísima personalidad, hacen que esta propuesta sea una recomendación fácil para todos aquellos que busquen un reto en su casco de realidad virtual.

Vorm Spielen von Yuki wusste ich gar nicht, dass ich so gute Reflexe besitze: Das Konzept der räumlichen Kugelhölle passt einfach ideal zu VR – und Arvore hat einen erstaunlich mitreißenden Weg gefunden, es umzusetzen! Stilvolles Ausweichen, Abtauchen und Zielen direkt mit den Bewegungscontrollern geht hier derart schnell und präzise von der Hand, dass selbst hunderte Projektile gleichzeitig mich irgendwann nicht mehr schocken konnten. Auch anderswo steckt viel Liebe im knuffigen Design und den motivierende Aufrüstungen des Rogue-lite-Konzepts. Nur im Bereich der Langzeitmotivation mangelt es auf Dauer an Umfang und Abwechslung - wie leider so oft im VR-Bereich. Nach zwei, drei Durchgängen ist mein visueller Cortex allerdings ohnehin meist frittiert, so dass ich eine Pause brauche. Für ein paar kurze, intensive Arcade-Runden fesselt mich aber kaum ein VR-Spiel so sehr wie Yuki!

YUKI is an enthralling roguelite shooter that feels great to play, looks sublime in virtual reality, and that brings with it a very imaginative concept. It’s satisfying blasting enemies across its six levels, whilst the gameplay loop of upgrading Yuki to make her more powerful for subsequent playthroughs always felt rewarding. It’s just a whole lot of fun.

Yuki é um verdadeiro shooter que nos leva aos momentos que nos imaginávamos a brincar com figuras, dentro da nossa imaginação infantil. A adição dos géneros Bullet Hell e Roguelite fazem com que joguemos este jogo vezes sem conta, criando um ciclo viciante difícil de quebrar. Se adoras todos estes géneros e já experimentas-te outros títulos VR da ARVORE, este é mais um que não te vai deixar desapontado!

YUKI is an addicting title that kept calling me back again and again for just one more go and that’s never a bad thing.  Every run provides you with potentially greater advantages and while some runs are more generous than others when it comes to those power-ups, there is a constant feel of progression as the Creative Drive gathered during any run can go towards better unlocks.  If you are looking for a different style of shooter, don’t look past YUKI as it’s a rogue-like unlike any other in VR.

Yuki è uno sparatutto in terza persona brillante, che non si espone mai oltre le sue effettive ambizioni, ma che ci farà vivere una bella avventura, condita da un gran senso di sfida e un ottimo lavoro sulla progressione. Un impatto tecnico di prim’ordine e una longevità variabile ma abbondante chiudono poi un quadretto che è un bijou, oltre che una delle cose migliori successe nel mercato VR dell’ultima stagione. Oculus Quest si amplia, dopo tanto tempo, di un nuovo – vero – imperdibile.

Además, su gran apartado artístico complementa muy bien a unas mecánicas pulidas y pensadas para ofrecer una experiencia arcade definitiva. Por otra parte, puede ser un título muy recomendado para aquellas personas que se estén iniciando en la realidad virtual y que no tengan las famosas “VR legs”. Ya que no tiene locomoción artificial, ni movimientos de cámara, que son cosas que al principio pueden llegar a marear en los juegos de RV.

Quizá la parte más negativa es que la rejugabilidad no es tan alta como en otros rogue-like, ni se aprecian tantas diferencias de una partida a otra. Aun así, es una pega pequeña para otro gran título que sumar al currículo de ARVORE, ya que han creado todo un imprescindible para los amantes de los SHMUP, los Bullet-Hell y/o Star Fox que tengan un dispositivo de VR.

Bailar entre decenas o veintenas de proyectiles me ha resultado absolutamente gratificante, la nueva propuesta de Arvore es mucho más fácil de jugar que sus Pixel Ripped y lo suficientemente desafiante para tener que meterle una docena de horas (o medio centenar). Juego modesto, en el sentido de que no tiene la complejidad de otros proyectos, pero brillante en todo lo que propone. Si un videojuego tiene que ser divertido, este se merece un sobresaliente. Si un título VR tiene que ser inmersivo y emplear la tridimensionalidad, este lo hace. Muy buenos tienen que ser los juegos que quedan por salir este año para que Yuki se quede fuera de mi Top 10 de 2021.

Con YUKI obtendrá una experiencia arcade de primera clase bullet-hell con una cantidad decente de contenido. Tomó alrededor de seis horas antes de que completara mi primera partida y fácilmente podrías estar mirando el doble si quieres desbloquear todo. Si te gusta el genero con una buena historia y por supuesto, tienes cascos VR, YUKI es una recomendación absoluta.

YUKI is a nostalgia-soaked bullet hell shooter that puts you in control of an action figure-sized protagonist. As a roguelike game, YUKI is patently difficult and essentially requires a fair bit of grinding to get to the end boss. Fun and useful upgrades are dolled out often enough to keep you coming back for more though. We were left wanting more of the cool and stylish Japanese mythology-inspired bosses and inventive levels, but that may speak to just how fun and cohesive the entire experience is. It's best played standing, however seated mode may ask for simply too much movement to really be practical.

So is YUKI a fitting portrayal of bullet hell nostalgia that’ll keep you coming back for more? Even with the lacklustre procedurally generated levels, YUKI is still a blast to play, easy to pick up and great to look at. You get so involved with the levels that a couple of hours go by in an instant and it’s only when you die and take a breather that you realise how much the gameplay makes you move. If you’re looking for a highly polished bullet hell shooter, give YUKI a try.

Wrapped in a totally unconvincing faux-Japanese style, Yuki is an almost unbelievably bland and generic shooter in which no one particular idea or design choice manages to gel with the others.
