Fate of Kai es un caramelo que dura poco, pero te deja un muy buen sabor de boca. Su fresca y limitada jugabilidad nos permitirá disfrutar de la propuesta sin demasiadas complicaciones y su apartado sonoro nos meterá de lleno en cada uno de los capítulos de esta aventura. Todo son buenas decisiones en este juego y es de agradecer.

Así que volvemos a la hoja anterior y ubicamos la etiqueta AGARRAR en el globito vacío —ahí donde antes Kai estaba como cuando miramos al techo—. Ahora al avanzar, sí damos comienzo a la empresa. Habiendo presentado el primer puzzle de forma directa y sin mucha explicación, Fate of Kai vuelve a utilizar la misma técnica una y otra vez, pero con algunas diferencias —acercamientos, viajes en el tiempo, laberintos, juegos de naipes, etc.—. Podríamos ahondar en más detalles, pero preferimos que se sorprendan, tal como nos sucedió en la redacción de [IRROMPIBLES].

While some games can take an hour to beat, you might have a reason to replay them, but for Fate of Kai, you’ll see close to 80 percent of the possible endings and scenes in your first playthrough. Almost every puzzle has to be solved correctly to reach the end and there doesn’t appear to be alternate solutions, so there’s no reason to replay the game, at least not until you’ve forgotten most of the journey.

In the end, Fate of Kai isn’t currently worth it at its current price point of $11.99 USD on Steam with only an hour’s worth of gameplay and no replayability, but the concept is exciting and fresh. Hopefully, in the future, there can be more games styled after Fate of Kai and really get a handle on an exciting story and a satisfying puzzle system. Until then, we will have to scratch that itch with this Fate of Kai review!
