Ponpu is one of those games that should primarily be bought for its great multiplayer mode. Even though a lack of bots to play against is a downer, it makes for a great party game and delightfully competitive romp online. Its campaign, conversely, is nothing too special or exciting, and just feels like dead weight to bloat up the price. At least it runs and plays mostly well on the Switch. The whole thing isn’t completely scrambled, but it’s not quite as hard boiled as it hopes to be.
