Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports is an ideal game for those familiar with the Looney Tunes series. The game's simple controls and spontaneous designs make it suitable for kids and other casual players seeking a good time. It may not have the finesse of other titles in its genre and isn't as endearing or deep as competing sports games.

The Looney Tunes universe is still sensational and with classic characters who do not lose their charisma. However, the various poorly executed mechanics for sports, refinement of the game in general and a look that does not live up to the universe presented deliver a mediocre experience.

Perhaps if the sports were more varied and additional content was included to make things more engaging, the experience would be better. As it stands, everything looks great at first, but sadly, the appeal fades quickly once the repetitiveness sets in.

When it comes to presentation, Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports does almost everything right. The game just looks great and also looks cheerful and nicely chaotic. When it comes to gameplay and especially content, it is a bit less impressive. The game modes are too sparsely developed, which means that everything comes down to the same thing. The four sports all play well and I actually don't have a single sport of which I say: No, there's nothing to it. In fact, that is not possible because the tournaments offer all four sports. The challenge mode then offers extra mini-games, but unfortunately they could not keep me glued to the TV. The old animated series could. However, I was able to entertain myself with the game for a few hours and I certainly do not want to advise against the game, although you do have to be a reasonable fan or try to appeal to a young audience who wants to buy this game. Only then will this game undoubtedly be worth buying.

Looney Tunes: Wacky World Of Sports is one of those games you’ll want to perhaps explore if you’re looking for options to play with your family with same-screen fun. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t feature any online multiplayer which I found a bit odd as this would have easily increased the longevity and replayability. Whilst the overall presentation of the game is very charming with characters I’ve grown up watching as a kid, the game does get stale very quickly. Playing alone allowed me to discover everything in just under an hour of gameplay which isn’t great for a game that is £39.99/£49.99 to purchase. That said, I did have a couple of hours of fun and laughs with my six-year-old. So whilst I recommend this as a game to factor in for time with younger ones, it doesn’t justify its high price tag in return for its content.

Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports is yet another officially licensed title that fails to tap the potential of a brand with enormous potential. The idea of offering a package with as many as four sports is nice, but the execution leaves something to be desired. While golf and tennis are definitely fun to play, basketball (with reservations) and soccer, the latter of which really needs to be revised, do not convince. Consider also that power-ups don't appear as often as one would expect (and aren't always easily activated), that characters-though they have distinctive traits-cannot access other upgrades, that the AI is incredibly strong and perfect, a few minor technical smears (such as excessive loading) and the omelet is served. If you have friends to play with, you will certainly find some enjoyment, but if you play alone, just leave it alone. With a license as strong as the Looney Tunes license, we were hoping for something more and in the end - once again - we were faced with yet another disappointment and only a sufficient title!

The game presents itself as merely another flavor of the sort of game that can be played when your buddies are over, and it does a solid job at that. If you are a parent thinking about getting this game for your child, this would be a solid way of introducing them to the wacky world of Looney Tunes.

Unfortunately, Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports is a game with a great idea but weak execution that doesn't do Bugs Bunny and company justice. At least the good use of references shows that the formula of putting these iconic characters in sports competitions can work — it just needs more competent gameplay to keep the fun from getting lost along the way.

The Looney Tunes franchise has everything it needs to be a fun and entertaining sports game. Longtime fans will appreciate the current voice cast reprising their roles, but the lasting appeal for the game just isn’t there. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and more have appeared in various sports-themed games in almost every console generation, but Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports is not one of the better examples. Looney Tunes Wacky World of Sports is, simply, an unfun game. Aesthetically it does not shine, although based on iconic cartoons, and the animation sector never manages to shake off a certain woodiness. The sports on offer are characterized by an indecisive register, which tries to be both carefree and deeper than expectations at the same time: it is never fully either.

Looney Tunes: Wacky World Of Sports' multiplayer can be fun in short bursts, especially if you just want to play a quick round of golf with friends. From a general audio-visual perspective, this is a good franchise representation. As a sports collection, though, it's clunky and frustrating. Playing with others will elevate this, but not by much.

Unfortunately, the slow, cumbersome movement undoes the otherwise likeable presentation. We’re glad this era of licensed games is slowly making a comeback, we just wished this was more fun to play.

Between Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports and Space Jam: A New Legacy - The Game, Bugs Bunny and friends sure haven't been treated well in recent years when it comes to video games. Here's hoping we get a remake of Time Busters; that was a fun game.

While I won’t hide from the fact my inner child was excited by the prospect of jumping into something involving the Looney Tunes once again, I won’t shy from the fact that I was completely underwhelmed by all that the game gives you to do.
